COVID-19 UPDATE
Stoneybrook Dental patients!!!
We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. One thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.
Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. We follow the recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Dentistry is in the most infectious part of the body, the mouth. Therefore, for the safety of our staff and our beloved patients, we are fully covered in PPE (personal protection equipment).
Though we look differently, please know our Smiles, Love and Care are still in there.
We are actively sanitizing the air, and all surfaces all day and every day. In the evenings, the office goes through an 8-hour sanitation system that kills all bacteria and VIRUSES in the air and on all surfaces. We do this because we care!
You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:
- Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
- We ask that you wait in your car until your appointment time and that you enter the office wearing your mask.
- We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
- You may see that our Waiting Room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
- Appointments will be managed to allow for Social Distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
- We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.
As wellness is our number one priority, we have a few healthy tips to assist you as we fight through this difficult time and season.
Please Alkaline your bodies! Put lemons/limes in your water to raise the pH…not the rind. Peel, like an orange and store in freezer bags. Drop frozen lemons/limes into your pitcher of water, to taste, making your own Alkaline water. Eat your fruits, vegetables and nuts. Stay away from SODA, it’s acidic which is the opposite of Alkaline! Avoid processed foods and meat proteins. This is the season to keep your bodies healthy and strong. Did you know that 80% of your Immune System is in your gut? Yes, so what we eat and drink will determine how strong our immune response will be to this virus…STAY ALKALINE!
Please refer to the Stoneybrook Dental Facebook page for suggestions and updates because, A Healthy Mouth Is A Healthy You ®.
